How To Merge Duplicate Accounts


If you have located duplicate accounts for a user, select and highlight the two profiles to merge, which can be located under the 'Everyone' Grid on the 'People' module. Select 'Merge' from the 'More' drop down list in the top right corner.   


Ensuring that they are the correct profiles to merge, choose the correct data to keep, (for example if the DOB's are different) and then choose the default telephone and default email address.  If there are none listed, then leave blank.   


Click on 'Save' and 'Yes' on the pop up message to continue the merge of accounts.

 

If there is a player registration, or a DBS under one of the profiles, then this ID will be automatically retained. All the information will now appear under the one retained profile. The user/ the administrator should be able to amend any incorrect information under 'Personal Details'. 


*Note: you will be unable to merge two accounts if they have two player registrations or a DBS attached to both. Please raise a ticket with the relevant user information, and the GMS Service Desk will be able to merge these accounts. 

 

**Note: you should also now see all the user's qualifications/courses under this profile once merged.  Please refresh your browser by logging out of GMS, followed by closing the browser down and logging back in.
