Club admins can send their clubs users/players an email from GMS with their username from their account and a link for GMS to click on the 'Forgot password' to reset or set up their password.
Provided you have both the club admin role and a permission level 2 or above, you locate and select the users account under the 'People module'. Click on the 'Credentials' tab on the left hand menu of the page and then click on the email icon button as per the below screenshot.
On the email sent from GMS they will be emailed their username and a link to GMS signing in page where they can click on the 'Forgot Password' link to enter their username and the ability to reset their password.
There is another way to re-send a user a link to reset their password directly if they have clicked on the 'Forgot Password' and not received their email link. Select the users account under the 'People' module, click on the 'Communication History' tab on the left hand side of the menu in the user's account. Locate the email with the most recent 'Password Reset' that is still valid.
Links are valid for 48 hours. If this link has expired, then ask the user to click on 'Forgot Passwor'd link to reset their password again.
Select and open the relevant email for the users most recent 'Password Reset' request, by clicking on the right far side arrow (circled) to open the email which has the red 'Reset Password' button (see below screenshot as example). Right click on this link to ‘Copy link address’ and paste this with the date of expiry on an email to your clubs user. The user can click on this link and it will take the user directly to the 'Reset Password' page on GMS.
**Emails can take up to 48 hours to come through on some service providers. If the user hasn’t received their reset password email, and after checking their emails Junk/Spam and Deleted folders, then please ask them to raise a ticket directly on the support portal for further assistance, as we need the ticket to come from the user’s registered email address.
