Enhancements have been made to the EMC system that will no longer allow NER players to be selected on an EMC line-up, even if they are assigned to a squad in a competition that requires all players to be Effectively Registered. The change will take effect from 29 November 2022.
NER players will no longer be allowed to be selected in an EMC line-up from this date in one or more league fixture this season in a competition that requires all players to be Effectively Registered. The NER player(s) selected on a previous Electronic Match Card (EMC) are likely to be affiliated or a legacy Non-Registered Player.
As a reminder selecting NER players on an EMC in the competition that requires all players to be Effectively Registered is a breach of Regulation 14. No sanctions will be taken against your club for breaching the regulation up to and including the weekend of 26th November.
By ensuring your players are Effectively Registered at the earliest opportunity, it will allow them to be eligible to play and added to the EMC line-up for your next fixture. Therefore, please check your Player Registration list, which will show any registered and affiliated players.
Should you need to make any players Effectively Registered, please see the guide 'How to Make a Player Effectively Registered' for steps.
